Spice Tour in Kerala
Destination Covered : Thiruvananthapuram - Somatheeram - Alleppey - Kumarakom - Periyar - Munnar – Kochi.
Day 01 – Thiruvananthapuram
When you reach Thiruvananthapuram, you will be escorted by us to a beach resort at Somatheeram. There after freshening up, you can spend the day on your own . Take rest or while away your time in a leisurely manner. The resort's chilled out ambience will cast off all your stress.
Day 02 – Somatheeram
The next day after breakfast, we will take you on a tour of the city of Trivandrum and you will get to see some gorgeous sightseeing spots and other major attractions. We will then retire to the resort for the night.
Day 03 – Somatheeram
Enjoy a spectacular view of the sea or simply relax freely on the amazing beach. You can ride on a catamaran and go fishing with the local people. You also have the option to re-vitalize your senses with some great Ayurvedic massages. This is surely a one-of-a-kind experience which will leave you refreshed and re-energized.
Day 04 – Alleppey Spice Tour in Kerala
As soon as the day breaks and once you are through with your breakfast, we will take you on a drive along the stunning coast. You will enjoy this smooth drive to the core as you pass by the cashewnut estates. Our next stop is at Alleppey the region of the well-renowned Backwater Bay. Here you will put up in a typical Kerala house overlooking the magnificent Lake Vembanad. The area is full of banana plants. The greenery around lends a cooling effect. You will then get the pleasure of enjoying an exclusive Kerala cuisine in a very unique way. You can also get yourself pampered with a massage done with oils extracted from aromatic herbs.
Day 05 – Alleppey
This day you will get the chance to observe and notice the lifestyle of the people living around the backwaters, and get to know about their culture and tradition. We will take you to a coir factory and a temple. Yu will get a very special opportunity to watch the elephants getting bathed, or even you yourself can try out bathing an elephant. This marvelous experience can be gained at the Elephant Rearing Center.
Day 06 – Kumarakom
We will take you to the exotic island of Kumarakom by sailing along the stunning backwaters. This island harbors a bird sanctuary where you can observe closely certain rare species of birds. The calm environment has a soothing effect upon your soul. We arrange your stay at the beautiful Taj Garden Retreat which features typical Kerala houses amidst a scenic and charming rustic setting.
Day 07 – Kumarakom - Kerala Tour of Spice
The next day is entirely devoted for pure rest. You can either stay back in the hotel and relax, or you can also roam around for some fresh air.
Day 08 – Periyar
After you freshen up and have your breakfast, we will take you n a drive along the rubber estates and through winding roads on wooded mountains. Our next destination is Periyar National Park. This is one of the famous wildlife parks in India where you will get to see some exotic and rare wild animals. The rest of the day you can be on your own.
Day 09 – Periyar
Next day you will be touring the Periyar National Park on a boat along the Lake Periyar. If you are lucky enough, you will certainly get to see some rare species of wildlife.
Day 10 – Munnar
After breakfast, you will be taken on a scenic drive through lush green forests, cascading waterfalls and herbs and spice plantations, and finally reach the glorious ranges of Munnar. It is the highest tea estate in the world. The sprawling tea gardens are worth noticing.
Day 11 – Munnar - Kerala Tour of Spice
Next morning when you are over with your breakfast, you will be guided to the Eravikkulam National Park where you will get to see some imperiled species. Later you can spend the time visiting and exploring some gorgeous places around the region.
Day 12 – Kochi
We will drive you to Kochi which is considered to be the commercial center of Kerala. Witness some scintillating traditional dance performances reflecting the culture of Kerala. In the evening you can visit the local markets which are quite colorful and lively, thereby you can get engaged in some shopping.
Day 13 – Kochi
We will take you to the Kochi Fort and many other places like, Mattancherry Palace, Jewish Synagogue, spice markets, St. Francis Church, Santa Cruz Basilica, Chinese Fishing Nets, and lots more. In the evening, we will take you to the Kalari Center where you will get to witness and observe the very skillful and amazing Kalaripayattu. This is a famous martial art of Kerala.
Day 14 – Kochi - Kerala Tour of Spice
Finally the day to wish goodbye has arrived. In the morning after the breakfast gets over, you need to check out and move ahead for another exotic destination.
