Ross Island, was the administrative capital during
the British rule over India . It is a small island which
stands off as a guard to Port Blair harbor. It extends
over an area of just 0.6 sq km. Ross Island is much
famous for its historical backgrounds and ruins which
are vivid examples to years of yore.

- And a majestic church now ruined after the earthquake

of the island , this has been set up by the Navy who
now own this palce.
You can visit Ross island during day time as the boat
services are available from the Phoenix Bay jetty at
8.30 AM, 10.30 AM, and 12.30 PM.
