The capital of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Port Blair
is a cluster of 350 islands among which only some are
inhabited. Port Blair has a bleak history as far as
the Indian freedom movement is concerned. The Indian
nationalists who were arrested on the charges of defying
the British were deported to Port Blair and were forbidden
to meet their families. What is now considered a tropical
paradise was actually referred to as "kala pani".
Port Blair has a lot to offer in terms of the places
